How to delete your account

Option 1: In-app deletion (instant & automated)

You can permanently delete your account and associated data directly within the app at any time:

1. Open the Naogomoku app.
2. Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the navigation bar.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete account & data”.
4. Confirm your selection in the confirmation prompt.

Upon confirmation, your profile, match history, rankings, friendships, and device credentials are immediately and permanently erased.

Option 2: Web / Email request (fallback)

If you no longer have the app installed, you can submit a manual deletion request by email:

1. Email w0904759@gmail.com with the subject “Naogomoku account deletion request”.
2. Include your Naogomoku user ID, username, or the Google account email used for sign-in.
3. State that you want your account and associated data permanently deleted.

Deletion permanently removes your profile, display name, country flag, bio, uploaded avatar, friend relationships, match history, leaderboard records, puzzle streaks, and server-side account credentials.

Data that may be retained

Some data may be retained only where strictly necessary for security, fraud or abuse prevention, legal compliance, or service integrity backups. Completed historical game records cannot be altered but are dissociated from deleted user identities.

Local data

In-app deletion automatically clears local secure tokens, device IDs, and cached profile data on your device. You may also uninstall the application to remove any remaining system-cached files.
