Privacy Policy

Overview

The app has no advertising, in-app purchases, or Firebase Analytics, and it does not sell personal data.

Information we collect

• Account data: Google Sign-In account identifier, email address, display name, and authentication token when Google Sign-In is chosen; or a generated guest device identifier for guest access.
• Profile data: username, display name, country flag, short bio, friend code, and an optional profile image.
• Gameplay data: match IDs, game settings, moves, results, match history, leaderboard records, daily puzzle progress, streaks, and saved preferences.
• Social and moderation data: friend relationships, challenges, game-related messages or notifications, reports, blocks, and last-online status.
• Technical data: IP address, connection and server logs, session tokens, refresh tokens, and diagnostic information needed to run and secure the service.
• Product usage data: app launches, sign-in method, app version and build, screen views, session duration, selected game mode, game and bot outcomes, puzzle results, replay opens, and social actions. Product analytics does not intentionally include email addresses, authentication tokens, message bodies, profile text, or selected images.
• Crash diagnostics: crash and non-fatal error details, stack traces, device and operating-system information, app version and build, Naogomoku user identifier, sign-in type, current screen, and relevant game or match context.

How we use information

• Provide guest and Google-linked accounts, online matches, profiles, match history, leaderboards, puzzles, and preferences.
• Provide friends, challenges, public profiles, and game-related communication.
• Detect abuse, process reports, protect the service, and resolve reliability problems.
• Measure feature use, game and puzzle funnels, retention, and service reliability.

Service providers

Naogomoku uses Google Sign-In and Google Play services, Nakama-based game server infrastructure, Firebase Crashlytics for crash and non-fatal error diagnostics, and hosting providers for the game server and website. These providers may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Analytics and crash reporting

Nakama receives product analytics used to understand launches, active users, navigation, game and puzzle funnels, outcomes, retention, and reliability. Firebase Crashlytics receives crash and error diagnostics. Crashlytics data is reviewed in Firebase Console and is not imported into the Naogomoku product analytics dashboard.

Sharing and visibility

Naogomoku does not sell personal data. Information is shared only as needed to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, protect the service, or use the providers above. Other players may see information that you choose or that gameplay requires, including your display name, username, country flag, profile image, bio, leaderboard position, presence where enabled, and game-related records.

Retention and deletion

Account, profile, social, gameplay, and moderation data is retained as needed to provide the service, maintain game history, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and handle requests. Recent product analytics events are retained for up to seven days or the latest 500 events. Anonymous active and signup cohorts are retained for 31 days; aggregate counters may be retained longer. Firebase Crashlytics retention follows Google Firebase settings.

You may request deletion of your Naogomoku account and associated data through the account deletion page or by emailing w0904759@gmail.com. Include your Naogomoku user ID, friend code, username, or Google account email so the account can be identified. Local app data can be removed by signing out, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the app.

Permissions and security

The Android app uses internet access for online game services. If you choose a profile image, it may open the system photo picker for the selected image only. The app does not request location, contacts, SMS, microphone, broad file access, or payment permissions in the current build. We use reasonable safeguards including authenticated sessions, access controls, and server-side storage rules, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.

Children and changes

Naogomoku is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action. We may update this policy as the app changes; updates will be posted here with a new date.
